Amanda del Castillo is a two-time Emmy Award winning reporter and anchor for ABC7 Mornings. A journalist of more than a decade, she has spent years telling impactful stories from Wyoming to Texas to Denver, and back to the Bay Area. She believes there is always a story to tell, having interviewed people living the worst days of their lives to the 97th Academy Awards- and everything in between. She values the power of communication and recognizes the weight our words carry. Amanda is a proud first generation Filipino American. She was born and raised in San Francisco and graduated from San Jose State. She is thrilled to be back in the Bay Area with her husband, 4-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter, and is honored to be telling stories in the community she grew up in.
